Short answer: buy a fleet system, not only a bicycle. Define route, payload, rider workflow, charging, weather, uptime, maintenance, spares, training, data needs and destination rules before selecting the cargo platform.

Map the real duty cycle

Document average and peak load, cargo dimensions, stops per shift, distance, gradients, surface, weather, storage, theft risk and rider changes. Use these conditions for sample and pilot approval.

Review structure and control

Check how payload is defined, frame and rack load paths, wheel specification, steering stability, loaded braking, kickstand, guards, lights and accessory mounting. Test the bicycle with representative cargo rather than an empty ride.

Design the energy workflow

Compare battery access, charging location, charge window, spare-battery control, connector protection and diagnostic status. A larger pack is not automatically better if it creates handling, cost or charging problems.

Plan fleet service before launch

Create preventive-maintenance intervals, inspection checklists, critical spares, technician training, serial tracking and claim evidence. Confirm which parts are standard and which are model-specific.

Pilot and measure

Run a controlled pilot and record delivery completion, energy use, downtime, brake and tire wear, rider feedback, loading time and service events. Freeze the production specification only after the pilot issues are resolved.
